We loved staying at this beautiful cottage. The owners have thought of everything their guests might need. It really feels like a home from home. We would love to return to explore the area in a warmer season.

nice cottage plenty of walks close. we found there could be a lot more potential, furnishings ,kitchen and bathroom tired and dated. As for the bbq needs replacing old and rusty and could not use. but overall enjoyed our stay .

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- Dear Robert, Thank you for taking the time to write a review as we are always trying to learn how we can do things better and reviews are so important for all our future bookings so we take each one to heart. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay overall, but very sorry that the BBQ did not meet your expectations. We have now swapped this with our own family BBQ set (which is a newer Outback model). Indeed we wish you had mentioned this while you were staying with us as we are genuinely happy to do whatever we can to help as we are usually not far away and could have easily popped it round when we gave you the wine samples after our wine tasting that week….I guess we’re not really barbecue connoisseurs I’m afraid! We would also like to say in defence of our cottage, that we have deliberately tried to keep to the period style as it is Grade II listed, so have furnished it with antiques and retained the vintage apple-green bath (with a modern shower above) as a feature as can be seen on the pictures. We were sad to hear that this seems ‘dated’ to you, as it was only refurbished quite recently and we have only ever had encouraging feedback from guests who seem to love the traditional style and often comment that they find it very comfortable. Nevertheless we will of course take your views into consideration as we update Breeds Farm Cottage ongoing. Many thanks again and best wishes from Sarah & Andrew

A pretty old cottage centrally situated in Wicken. It was very comfortable, especially the twin beds in the downstairs bedroom. Hosts were welcoming but not intrusive. Private garden and facilities for barbeque were charming. Good parking. I would recommend it to all my friends.
