A lovely house in a really great location. House needs a little TLC- edging around the breakfast bar, kitchen ceiling and walls, mattress is too small for bed, which allows the pillows to fall down. Apart from that a lovely house.

This little house is well decorated and spacious. Fantastic location. Amongst not a great deal of choice in the area, probably quite good. The hot water/central heating system is tricky and hard to master. It seemed you could only have everything or nothing. For hot water, you either had to have the whole house roasting, or boiled the kettle. We turned off all the radiators individually, in the end, after boiling the kettle the first few days to shave or do the washing up. Yes, there’s no dishwasher, either. Oh - and if you’re 6ft or more, even lying diagonally doesn’t quite suffice in the rather tiny double bed in the main bedroom, with its hardwood head- and footboards. The location, however, is lovely, the conservatory- with its Middle-Earth objets d’arts - has lovely views, and the telly and WiFi all work well. All in all a mixed review.

Don’t get me wrong this is a lovely place. We would stay again. We went in late October/November so not sure what prices would be in peak season. We would have loved a wood burning stove. With a bit of supply of wood. The central heating was adequate enough though. Comfort, we found the sofas to be a little tired, yes comfy to a certain degree, but maybe a little upgrade would be lovely. The breakfast bar stools were also in need of upgrading, couple didn’t work and not great in comfort to sit on. (Don’t wanna be mean, just honest) Mattresses could have been firmer, also felt they were tired. Had a really sore back after two nights sleep. Bathroom was nice and spacious, blue LED lights make it harder to see though. So that’s about it from the house. Local amenities.... oh my not a hotel, cafe, pub open at all !! I thought this was so disappointing. We hoped for somewhere at least were we could go in, enjoy a meal and a pint or 3. Not one single place open...... thank god for the spar in the Main Street.
