This charming and tastefully decorated holiday home offers two comfortable bedrooms and is ideal for a small family or some friends who want to use this as a base to explore the sights and adventures of this gorgeous part of England’s North East. Literally just across the border from Scotland, this lovely village proves popular with locals and tourists alike given its accessibility to Berwick, Newcastle, The Scottish Border towns and even Edinburgh which is just over an hour away by car.
On the ground floor the accommodation provides a lovely open plan living room and dining area. The kitchen has the range of appliances one would expect and there is a separate shower room which completes the ground floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the smaller is fitted as a twin room. The main principal bedroom is fitted as a double and has a luxury ensuite bathroom with bath and separate shower. Outside there are seating areas to enjoy sunny evenings and parking for guests.
The village of Norham really is quite special in that it still offers everything you need yet is a 10 minute drive from Berwick Upon Tweed or 30min from Kelso. Norham has an award winning butcher, a baker (open only in the morning), a convenience store stocking all the daily essentials and also 2 local pubs- The Mason’s Arms is certainly worth a visit. These are all just a few minutes walk from the property. The river Tweed weaves round the edge of the village and offers lovely walks and views, whilst the Castle sits at the foot of the village and is steeped in history. It is also worth noting that on a Thursday night is ’Chippy Night’ as the local fish and chip van comes to the village- a great option for supper, you will see how popular it is as you join the que!
