A lovely clean cottage with plenty of space for a large family. The owners are very kind and helpful. The Portsmouth ferry is literally two minutes down the road so no rushing on the day you leave! Will definitely visit again.

The garden was fenced but our dogs could have got out and there is a busy road running along side it. The fence in places was just 3 bars of wood. The place was perfect for all our family to stay and meet up with my sister and brother in law. Just the garden and walking through the woods you couldn’t take your eye off the pups.

We needed a holiday cottage for 12 ranging from 2 years to 84 years. Bourne Cottage was perfect for us- plenty of room, well equipped, very clean, safe garden, plenty of parking space, easy access for local attractions. If being picky only negative was a couple of the beds were a little uncomfortable and an outside light would be useful for darker evenings but not enough to detract from an otherwise perfect cottage for our needs.

Pleasant but didn't like the layout. Major issue with insisting the morning of departure the bed linnen be collected at 08.00. We contracted to leave at 10.00 so that should be the time and not before when the cleaning starts. If the owners have problems getting linen clean they should purchase additional, if they have enough why insist on collecting at this time. We were not impressed.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We hope you had a good holiday. We have several holiday homes and the laundry firm picks up at 8.15 on Saturdays and 8.15 on Tuesdays. We have changed the pickup for Bourne cottage to Tuesdays. So this problem will not occur again. We have spoken to the cleaners we actually live next door so on contract from yourselves or any other guests we can rectify problems almost immediately and would of done so if aware of the situation. I’m sorry you didn’t like the layout.

My family and I recently stayed at Bourne Cottage (12 of us including a 2 year old ). We had a great time. The kitchen/diner is modern and clean. We were not disturbed by the traffic noise in the distance. The garden was a good size. We would definately return.

We had a fab time at Bourne Cottage! It was perfect for our large group with small children with a number of bedrooms on the ground floor and plenty of space. The house is wonderfully located and is fantastic for bigger family groups. Many thanks

House was very nice for big family with big kitchen however the "wifi included" was incorrect as the wifi didnot work, even when stood right next to the router which was taking wifi from next house (also belonged to the owner).

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. The router at the property had been damaged and unfortunately we were unaware. I have since replaced this so the wifi now works perfectly.
