With an elevated position overlooking green field and surrounded by well-established gardens this delightful house has all you need for a family holiday just minutes from the picturesque harbour of Mevagissey on Cornwall’s beautiful south coast.
A large terrace with comfy seating enables you to enjoy an al fresco dinner or breakfast in the garden.
This property also offers private off road parking for 4 vehicles.
Mevagissey has narrow lanes full of craft, gift and local shops along with a selection of galleries for that memorable picture of your stay in this quaint seafaring village. The local pubs, many of them hugging the harbour, provide home cooked food, local ales and views across the working harbour.
If you can bring yourself to leave the comforts of Bojea then you may want to visit one of the country’s most beautiful gardens. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, which can be reached either on foot or by bike form the house along an off road trail.
A little further afield, will bring you to many beautiful beaches on the Roseland Peninsula an AONB, all of them providing the quintessential ingredients for that traditional family holiday.
The world-renowned Eden Project with its wonderful tropical biomes and unusual plants and flowers is a must for every visitor to Cornwall. The Eden Project also has many concerts and events throughout the summer all worth seeing.
The hamlet of Pentewan just minutes from Mevagissey, has a large sandy beach an off road cycle trail, bike hire, kayak hire and dive centre.
For a different day out, a ferry sails from Mevagissey in high season to the seafaring town of Fowey across the bay. Galleries, cafes, highly regarded restaurants, bistros and tea rooms all provide the refreshment while dolphin spotting trips, deep sea fishing trips and sailing trips can all be booked from the town quay. A literary festival and royal regatta take place in the town throughout the year and both are well worth visiting.
Many walks can be taken around this part of the county from coastal rambles, disused heritage trails that cross the county, to inland wooded walks to something a little more strenuous for the more active.
Horse riding, surfing, cycling and National Trust houses and gardens are plentiful in the area.
A little further afield but easily reached is Truro, Padstow, Newquay, St Ives and Lostwithiel all providing an alternative view of this dramatic and beautiful county. Shop, pub and restaurant 700 yards.

Enjoyed a very pleasant week in Mevagissey. The house is family friendly, but not suitable for those with mobility issues as the approach from the road to the house is steep and stepped. This did have the advantage of giving great views across the countryside. Whilst not a major concern the welcome pack was rather poor compared to the many other cottages we have stayed in and consisted of one pint of milk, some clotted cream, jam and a packet of supermarket scones. Not a lot for seven people.

Such a shame, this could have been a really lovely holiday cottage if only it had been looked after. The basics were great, nice dishwasher, open fire and log burner, comfy sofa, good sized bedrooms, wifi included and loads of local information, books, DVDs available to use. One of the bedrooms had a bad case of damp, to the point the bedding felt damp and the ceiling was mouldy. Not great for us asthma sufferers. The downstairs shower drain was slow to clear, meaning the first shower ran out into the hallway, the shower cubicle was covered in mould. Windows were full of dirt and dead insects. The house needs a thorough clean. The beds were very hard, personal preferences though. The upstairs bathroom floor tiles were broken, if you dared walk over them barefoot you were treated to bits of tile stuck to the bottom of your feet. Nice. Outside, the sun shade over the table was mouldy, broken and full of holes, the barbecue was broken and the patio furniture, which I'm sure was once lovely, broken and holey. Had the weather been nicer during my week at Bojea, I would have like to have made use of some the items advertised available for use.

We had a lovely week at Bojea, the house is well equipped and suited our needs well. The steps to the property were hard for the less mobile but we knew this from previous reviews. The garden was a little overgrown. The house itself is really nice, well laid out with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor. We found family board games to play. Maria was very helpful and always contactable.

Lovely location, only 10mins walk to the Harbour. Mevagissey is a lovely place as a base for a holiday, lots of nice shops, cafes, and restaurants, close to Heligan, the Eden Project and lots of beaches, Truro and Fowey. The cottage was comfortable, the garden area was lovely for sitting out. We were told there was a BBQ but when we arrived it was broken and unusable which was a shame as we had beautiful weather, perfect for a BBQ. Small point, the description said we would receive a welcome pack which we did not. It wasn't a massive problem but after a long journey, it would have been nice to have a pint of milk etc so we didn't have to go straight out. I would definitely stay at Bojea again
