With little light pollution, the sky at night is magnificent and you are guaranteed some spectacular sunsets as the sun sinks over the horizon.
The garden gate leads onto a variety of well-marked footpaths, either across the mountains or down to the beach. The cottage, built in 1895 is traditional and comfortable with a huge inglenook fireplace & wood burner. Bodlondeb certainly lives up to it’s name, meaning contentment, desirable, agreeable and satisfaction in native Welsh.

It Was A Charming And Quirky Cottage In A Lovely, Peaceful Location. However, There Were Some Issues, As Follows: The Incorrect Code For The Wi-Fi Was Shown On The Laminated Info Sheet In The Cottage - The Correct Code Was Actually On The Back Of The Router And Shown As The "Wireless Key"; The Shower In The Main Bathroom Leaks Over The Bathroom Floor And Could Be Remedied By Turning Down The Water Pressure; There Were No Instructions Given About Operating The Central Heating, Which Was Not Timed Correctly For Our Needs; There Is An Unmarked Hazardous Step In The Living Room Which I Tripped Up And Sustained Bruising As A Result; There Is No Dishwasher; Only 2 Hobs Are Usable In The Kitchen Due To The Siting Of A Shelf Above.

The Cottage Is Not Fit To Be A Holiday Rental - It Was Damp And Dirty With Old, Stained And Shabby Furnishings. There Were Cobwebs And Spiders In Every Room, Food And Crumbs Throughout And Used Tissues Left From The Previous Occupants In One Of The Bedroom Bins. (So Much For The Covid-Safe Cleaning Procedures...) I Tried To Contact The Owner On Arrival, But They Did Not Call Me Back Until The Following Day, By Which Time We Had Driven Home Again. We Paid A Ridiculously High Price For This Place Too, Which Made It All The More Disappointing. The View Is Spectacular Though. Great Location Too - Nefyn Is Lovely.
