We were a party of three adults, including my elderly mother, who chose this lodge do to its accessibility for my mother who has slight mobility issues. The lodge was beautiful inside, very modern and clean, with an open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. The welcome pack was very much appreciated to - biscuits, tea, coffee, etc. Thank you. The two bedrooms were a good size - a double bed and two singles, and a very large walk-in shower was easy to operate and warm. I have stayed in many hotels over the years and can appreciate the simple things in life, such as having a shower that delivers a constant warm temperature. :) The venue is fantastic. The owners do like their wildlife, which was evident with the number of bird feeders, and we had all manner of birds and a squirrel spotted around the lodge. There is a nice, fenced in, garden to sit and relax, although when we stayed it was raining, but we could imagine ourselves on another day sitting on the patio set to take in the views across the garden and fields beyond. The lodge is set within the grounds of the owners' home, but there is total privacy for those who stay. The owners met us on arrival and when we left and were just a text or phone call away if we needed them, but other than that we came and went as we pleased. We had difficulty finding the entrance to the property, but then we do tend to get lost when ever we venture more than a few miles from home, but in this case the owner met us as their gate. The lodge is situated on the edge of a small village, although if you don't mind a two minute walk along a grass verge, then you will find a pub that does food. We chose to go to The George, a few minutes drive out of town, which was a real treat and one I would recommend. If you believe that you get what you pay for, then you wont be disappointed. In the village there is also a well stocked farm shop, where we stopped off on the way home. All in all a thoroughly good stay for us, and somewhere we have no hesitation in recommending. :)

A lovely place to spend a break in. Top class fittings and comfort to enjoy. Lots of Bird Activity around the cottage including Buzzards, Wood peckers, and a Jay. Central to Ashford, Canterbury and Faversham. Places to eat which we enjoyed were --The Flying Horse, The Deering Arms. A well thought out welcome pack was a nice surprise.
