Blue Buoy Cottage is a stylish and well-presented property boasting beautiful sea views which can be enjoyed from the fantastic patio.

Blue Buoy Cottage dates back to the 1800s. Set in the quaint fishing port of Brixham, it is in a great spot with fantastic sea views from every level of the four storey property, which overlooks the marina, fishing port and Torbay. You can see Torquay to your left (on a clear day you can see as far as Weymouth); to your right you can see Berry Head. There is a large patio to relax in over a glass of wine taking in the exceptional views and the atmosphere of the fishing port. The harbour shops and restaurants are a 3-minute stroll away, or take a boat trip to Torquay and Dartmouth for a day’s fishing. A wood burner makes this property great for year-round holidays. The coastal path is easily accessed, leading to lovely beaches and coves; the popular Fishcombe Cove is at the top of the road. Brixham forms the third part of Torbay - the others being Torquay and Paignton. The bay is known as the English Riviera due to its unique micro-climate. Walkers and navigators can get escape and and explore the depths of Dartmoor, spot wild Dartmoor ponies, cross ancient stone bridges spanning the clear bubbly waters of the River Dart and other rivers. You can also feel the somewhat eerie presence of the tors, seven rocky hills presiding majestically over the moors. Take the ferry across to Dartmouth, the neighbouring town to Brixham, set on and across the River Dart. At the mouth of the river are Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles with the rocky waters of the estuary lapping at their feet. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

    The views from the cottage were wonderful but the access was very steep. The parking was also a problem. It is no doubt fine for family, who can have a wonderful holiday here, but it should be pointed out that this is not a property for elderly people - both from the point of view of access to and from the town, and also from access inside where each room was on a seperate floor. Aside from that it is beautifully appointed, apart from the kitchen which left a few things to be desired.

    As pointed out to you for the value for money, the settees were dirty. The carpets were disgusting,should have at least been cleaned. the decking area needed cleaning,bbq unfit for use,steps leading to the back door,no lighting ,no hand rail.dangerous ,especially when dark. Out door dining set not cleaned, The parasole unfit for use.not clean. This property was not value for money. One t v control not compatible with t v. Coat hanger fell off wall in lobby when tried to use. Toilet seat broken. Sugar canister knob broken. There was a sock and tissues under bed and filth not been cleaned. Dust you could write your name in on t v table in lounge. When took black bin liner out of bin in kitchen there is muck in the bottom where not been cleaned. As told by the agent Jeremy this property is due to be re-furnished this year why we not told I think that is why it was not bothered with and left in the state it was which was disgusting. We came home on the Thursday could nod stand any more. I think we should get some kind of compensation . Was not even worth half the amount we paid of over £700.00.,
