There are several excellent restaurants and café bars close by and one that sits on the edge of the towns boating lake. A great place for breakfast, a coffee or even dinner. There is also has a working harbour, tropical gardens, Bluereef Aquarium, a zoo, local farm shop, golf course (within walking distance to the apartment), horse riding, bicycle hire, sea going trips for fishing, two leisure centres and is surrounded by many tourist attractions including a Japanese Garden and Trerice which is an historic manor and gardens, owned by the National Trust. The whole coastline is dotted with beaches and fishing villages from St Agnes in the south to Padstow in the north with its fine dining and many excellent restaurants including those of the TV chef, Rick Stein. Padstow is a must as it provides a day and evening out for the whole family. Wander the narrow streets and enjoy the evening by the working harbour or hire a bike and cycle along the famous Camel Trail, a flat off road trail that hugs the shore of the estuary.
