One of the cleanest cottages we've stayed in.A bench would fit outside the bottom door and would have been useful to sit out.Great view from the upstairs lounge, comfy seating and a comfy bed.Bathroom and kitchen getting ready for an upgrade but don't let that put you off as everything works well, just needed an extra frying pan, would go back again, many thanks SW Derbyshire

I wanted to relax and write, and Bloomswell was perfect for me. The amazing sea view from the living room was inspirational and the quirkiness of the cottage was delightful. The cottage was extremely clean and well equipped. Some people may find the limited television channels and lack of internet a negative, but these were a positive for me! I wanted to get away from it all in a beautiful setting and Bloomswell was everything I could have asked for. I will definitely be booking again.

Lovely, old cottage. Very warm and clean. Ideal location for exploring Robin Hoods Bay and all of North Yorkshire. Owners have provided everything you could wish for, for a great holiday. The only negative, which can't be helped, are the stairs. This cottage is spread over 4 floors and the steps are spiral, steep and narrow. Therefore not suitable at all for small children or elderly guests who struggle with stairs. For those who can manage stairs normally - not a problem.

My partner and I had the most amazing time at this cottage. It was very homely and we were instantly relaxed. Loved it so much, we tried to book for next year, but it was fully booked. Would highly recommend

Lovely location, cottage a bit tired around the edges, could do with a repaint. Few spiders were in cobwebs were in the lower bedroom. Non-stick frying pan would have been a welcome addition to the kitchen equipment, and the microwave was not working. The bin seemed to have been used for other waste not just from the cottage too! Parking permit was a great addition to the cottage.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: We are pleased you enjoyed the location and our provision of a parking permit. The microwave oven is working. The electric socket had been turned off. When we eventually found out there was a problem and sent an electrician it was very quickly solved. It was a shame that you did not contact our managers, Yorkshire Cottages, who could have promptly dealt with this. We have asked our cleaner to double check for cob webs. We maintain Bloomswells decorations and at the end of every season carry out any work that is required. The use of private household bins by the many day trippers to Robin Hoods Bay is an ongoing problem. The council is well aware of this issue.
