We loved our stay at Blea Tarn, the location is ideal for walks straight from the door with the added bonus of being able to take our dog with us. The lodge was clean and tidy and had all the equipment you need for cooking etc, it also had lots of birds visiting the garden to eat the bird food which was also supplied.

I most often like to stay in different places each time away in the Lake District but feeel I definitely want to stay here again. Reasons include stunning scenery with Elterwater just a short walk down the hill and Loughrigg Tarn just a short walk up hill and nice scenery all around them. Also Rydal Water is an easy walk beyond the Tarn, it brings you to a wow factor view from a high point. Grasses is also doable on foot on a whole day plan or easy drive where there is loads of parking space. The cottage is quite secluded with no one able to over look into the back windows due to the trees and hill drop beyond the garden. The cottage has everything in the kitchen, nice size, cottage.
