A nice area the house was comfortable and a good place to stay. the cooker door needs fixing, could do with a clothes rail in the bedroom perhaps by removing the sofa. the garden furniture could do with cleaning/painting ignore the dogs next door and you will have a good holiday

We had a very enjoyable break while staying at Blacksmiths Cottage, this was a good base for visiting the local seaside towns of Gorlston, great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, also close to many broadland areas including Oulton broad. The cottage still has many original features and is furnished in quite an olde worlde style , but has a modern well equipped kitchen, double glazing and modern doors. The village has a pub/restaurant and a café but no shop. There are some local lakes which provide a nice area to take walks in, with an area in which dogs are allowed to run free. Probably the best thing about our holiday there was the peace and quiet, in stark contrast to our every day lives living on a busy road with noisy neighbours

Beautiful little cottage. It felt like home very quickly. It was lovely and warm even in mid February. We had relatives come and visit us there and the cottage had everything we needed to entertain them. The beach is only a few minutes away in one direction and the Broads a few minutes in the other. Over all I would say it’s a perfect little place to base your break from or simply to relax in. We would recommend Blacksmiths Cottage and we would happily book again ourselves.

Quirky, cosy cottage perfect for a short getaway over New Year. The wood burner was lovely and the Xmas decs made it really festive. Heavy rain meant the track to the cottage was full of large puddles and although there was parking outside the cottage this was hard to access as cars parked opposite.

Within easy reach of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft but especially loved the doggy friendly beach at Gorleston on Sea. Also great days out in Aldeburgh and Southwold.

Cottage is well located to visit sea-side resorts and country-side attractions. We visited Great Yarmouth, Southwold, Dunwich, Oulton BrOad and Framlingham Castle during our stay. The village has a nice pub and a cafe but no shop.

Good location near to Lowestoft. Cottage was dirty in places and in need of a professional clean and repaint. We spent time cleaning in first 1.5 days to make some areas better. Several saucepans were rusty and unuseable. Dishwasher was dirty with grime/smelly and we didn't use it. Cigarette butts in garden around table. Pictures were taken off walls and only nails showing. Owner was unhelpful and defensive whilst agent saw our photos and refunded commission.
