Bathroom: With bath with electric shower over, toilet and shaver point

Quietly tucked away in a picturesque courtyard setting just outside the centre of Reeth is Black Sheep Cottage. This newly constructed stone cottage is immaculately presented and provides comfortable accommodation for four guests in two bedrooms. The cottage is extremely well equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. To the rear of the cottage there is a wonderful enclosed paved patio area attracting the sun all day, ideal for al fresco dining, or simply soaking up a little fresh Yorkshire air.Shop 300 yards, Pub and restaurant 250 yards

Ian Stockton on Tees | Couple We’ve just returned from our 3rd stay at Black Sheep Cottage. Our previous visits were in 2016 & 2017. In the meantime we’ve stayed at 3 other properties in Reeth but none of them suited us as well as this one. We were in Reeth for a mixture of walking & attending the Swaledale Festival & the location of the cottage is ideal for this. We had a problem-free stay & for us, the issues mentioned in the previous review did not detract from the many advantages of the cottage. It’s a cottage we’ll be happy to return to as a base for our holidays in Swaledale.

Sylvia Hunmanby Filey | Couple We chose the cottage for easy access for walking in the area direct from cottage. Unfortunate the picture as above was misleading! There are many other properties in the close vicinity, on arrival could not park in our allocated space, also had a vehicle halfway across our living room window all week. Our view past this vehicle was of a building development under construction, ongoing the locals said!! Our major issue was no heating or hot water on 2nd day cold towel rail hence wet towels. 3rd day engineer arrived, most unpleasant man, left it working until 8th day same scenario, we resorted to electric kettle electric fire showers no baths. We went out daily and fortunate with good dry weather, luckily no children to be concerned of their warmth. Also noted in visitor book this has been problem before, we left note for housekeeper in case someone due in after our departure.

Sarah Bristol | Family We had a lovely short break in this fantastic cottage. It was well-equipped, warm and comfortable, as well as being spotlessly clean. Reeth is a fantastic location for exploring the Northern Yorkshire Dales, as well as having plenty of coffee shops and cafes if the weather should be less than perfect! Don’t miss the bacon sandwiches and cakes at the Bike Centre. The only point I would make is that the cottage is quite cosy - perfect for 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults, but four adults might be a bit of a squash round the table.
