Description

Beautiful rustic barn conversion in the Brecon Beacons National Park – a great place to come and relax and enjoy the fabulous countryside.

Ground Floor:
Living room: With TV and double sofa bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements).
Dining room.
Kitchen: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Wet room: With bath, shower, toilet and heated towel rail.

First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Welcome pack. Sitting-out area with garden furniture (shared with owner). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: The first floor is accessed by external stairs only. The property has a natural water supply from a spring.

Sgubor is a fabulous barn conversion set in the owners 55 acres of land with views over the rolling countryside. The surrounding farmland has everything to offer, from pastures, moorland, woodlands and mountains. The small River Berach runs through the farm and there is lots of wildlife to be seen here including Otters, badgers, foxes, red kites and buzzards. This is the ideal place for those wanting to explore the local areas whether it be on foot or by car. Located in the Amman Valley, 4 miles from the town of Ammanford where you’ll find the nearest supermarkets and home to the famous Coal Town Coffee company. Travel 8 miles to the west and you will come to the beautiful old market town of Llandeilo where you can take a walk around the spectacular National Trust Property, Dinefwr Park before enjoying a walk around LLandeilo itself which boasts many café, delis, pubs and boutique shops.

Approximately 17 miles from the Gower peninsula and 45 miles to Pembrokeshire, Sgubor is a great base for those wanting to explore the coast as well as the Mountains. Take a leisurely bike ride in Lyn Llech Owain Country park, a 158-acre park of woods, lakes and forest tracks. Keen cyclists can head directly up the mountain from Sgubor for challenging routes with breathtaking views. If it is walks you are looking for, then there are plenty of sites to visit in this area. Head down to the Waterfall country and take in the natural beauty of the Welsh countryside and see the water cascading over the rocks or the nearby Llyn y Fan Fach with stunning views from the Beacons Way. Head on down to the National showcase caves at Dan yr Ogof for a great day out for kids and adults. At the end of a busy day, come back and relax in the tranquillity of the farm, watch the sun go down and be amazed by the stars.
Sgubor, which has been renovated to a high standard in 2021, has incorporated lots of rustic charm that this 1793 barn deserves and is beautifully finished. Consisting of ground floor toilet, wet room with free standing bath, dining room, living room with TV, DVD and double sofa bed and well-equipped kitchen. To access the first floor, you must use the external staircase; the first floor comprises of toilet, kingsize room and a twin room.

There is a seating area to the front of the barn and of course access to walk on the owners’ land, developing nature reserve and a small play area near to the property.
