A fantastic cottage to see in the New Year. It was much bigger in real life than the pictures online. The location was perfect. We saw deers on numerous occasions whilst having a cup of tea sat around the kitchen table.

Fantastic weekend using the cottage for our base for visiting York, which was easy to get to via park and ride and taxi. The cottage was beautifully fitted out, very clean, had everything you could need, was home From home. Lovely welcome basket, milk in the fridge etc. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend to friends.

I love this place. The only thing that could be improved is perhaps to have Sky tv so I can watch the football But all in all it’s a fabulous place

Had a great time, very quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable and had everything needed to make yourself at home. Great to see the squirrels and horses came to meet you when passing the paddocks. Would recommend this cottage.

Very clean. Unfortunately its the first time we have arrived at a place to stay and had to go back out to get milk which wasnt a good start after driving five hours. No internet service at all. The sofa that is falling apart and the non-working tv remotes made the whole place a lot less comfortable. Double bed not king size. I think it needs a little tlc in places. No local places to eat. It was a car drive to anywhere. I dont think it was worth what we paid for five nights. A full week after us was available at a much lower price which says alot.

We had a fantastic time at this cottage, the facilities were superb and the location excellent with many lovely dog walks nearby - however, if you are from Scotland, you need to be aware that the right to roam doesn't exist and signs warn you of prosecution if you wander into the wrong areas . The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday enjoying many of the tourist attractions that Yorkshire has to offer.

A really lovely property, in a great secluded and attractive location but still only 15mins from York. Has the added bonus of a tennis court to share, if you are feeling active. Good local Services and a big Tesco also not far away. Some of the furnishings could do with updating but the appliances are fine and plenty of hot, hot water! Very friendly and helpful owners who live in the adjacent house. Will be high / at the top of our list, if looking to book in the area again!

Beautifully equipped barn , thoughtful owners who provided a lovely welcome basket! My mum wasn’t so happy though as it was only until we got there that there were notices saying dogs were not allowed upstairs ( living room etc all upstairs) so my mum had to stay in the kitchen quite s lot and even sleep on the daybed there during the night as the dog couldn’t be left alone in case he barked. Certainly owners preference which is fine but wouldn’t have chosen it if I knew there were such restrictions. Got a complaining mum for a week - not fun!! Otherwise for non dog owners - fabulous property.
