We could not get over how fantastic this place was. Like a home away from home. Very cosy and everything that you needed was there. Unfortunately the WiFi wasn't working during our stay but to be honest we didn't need it as there was other entertainment provided e.g. board games, dvds etc. And the scenery was gorgeous. We woke up to horses pretty much outside our window. Very relaxing. I don't have any photos I'm sorry to say. Definitely going to book here again and would recommend to absolutely anyone! Even royalty would love a stay here!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Response on behalf of the owner. Thank you very much for your lovely comments about Winston Lodge. Unfortunately during your stay we did have problems with the WiFi but I am pleased to say that we now have greater reliability with the connection via a company called Europasat. As we are a rural location, we have found it difficult to provide WiFi to our guests but hopefully things will run smoother now. We appreciate how important this can be. We would be delighted to welcome you again and our new Games room should be ready early 2018. Many thanks, once again.

Hi we have stayed at this location before, but this time they were building another lodge this spoiled the out look. the gates were open all the time this takes away the security . they all so painted the lodge we were in while we were there & as it was warm we had the windows open. i had bad heads for two nights, the smell may have caused this? so we came home on the Thursday. no more bad heads

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I was very disappointed to read that your second stay with us did not meet the standards of your first visit. As stated at the time of booking we are building a new Lodge next to the car park, and we are very aware that this spoils the look of the surroundings, and we have endeavoured to keep disruptions to a minimum. Landscaping of the new Lodge is now underway . Unfortunately as does happen from time to time our automatic gates at the Lodge entrance had been malfunctioning and we had to turn them off for the safety of our guests. These are now working properly again. As part of some essential maintenance work on Winston Lodge we needed to restain one side and even though the stain was low odour, with the exceptionally hot weather at the time, this obviously caused problems of which I can only apologise for. Had I been made aware of this, I would have made arrangements for a change of Lodge should you have so wished. We pride ourselves on maintaining our high standards and am sorry that on this occasion we fell below these.
