There are also many National Trust properties within easy driving distance, including Charlecote Park, a Victorian home set in a landscaped deer park, 4 miles, and Kinwarton Dovecote, a circular 14th century dovecote, 6 miles away. Excellent cottage in quiet village street. Delightful garden and the countryside outside the village is beautiful. Stratford is so close and Mary Arden's farm is the best part of the locality that Shakespeare knew and this is just down the road so don't miss the opportunity of a visit.

Fantastic cottage, very clean and had everything we needed and more. The wine and cake left as a welcome gift was a lovely touch. The only issue we had was parking, as this is a very narrow street and the property does not ha e a drive we really struggled to park the car. However this did not spoil our lovely break.

A lovely house, brilliant location for Stratford, Warwick and Kenilworth. We did have some confusion when we arrived, the lady next door came out before we even had our luggage out and told us there no parking for this house and we had to go elsewhere. We didn't, we parked adjacent to the cottage and we heard no more from her. I thought the owners should know. A briefly unpleasant start but after that it was great. Thank you for such a clean, tidy and well appointed house and the welcome gifts were delicious, my compliments to the baker. I would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely cottage and would definitely stay again but would benefit from outside table/chairs to be able to dine alfresco (as weather allows)

Bevington is a cosy holiday cottage which was ideal for our short break with friends. It was comfortable and well equipped. My only negative comments would be that it was difficult to find on the street because it is tucked away behind a high hedge and gate and the name on the gate is easy to miss. Also, we were unable to get the tv to work in either the lounge or the first floor bedroom. The picture kept breaking up due to loss of signal. However, neither of these things spoiled our break in this delightful little cottage which I would highly recommend.

Caretaker number given was never answered the whole week in trying to call re our 200 mile drive one way to stay. Lovely cottage. I did have to sweep under the dining table and near sofas/chairs and in the kitchen to start. Cake and wine was left and cupboard had tea/coffee. Fridge had milk too. We took bread and butter (plus other bits). Wood burner was lovely and cottage was well set out. Full amenities on offer. No signal but wifi. Unfortunately we was staying with three young children and there was two toilets. 1 at back of house in utility (cold) and 1 in main bathroom on 1st floor were we located the kids in their rooms but the light wouldnt always work. Typically at night. No signal meant having to try and whatsapp the mobile number left. Which wouldn't work for all. Found a torch/stroke lamp which worked night 1. But then we thought had run out of battery but actually had a charger. Located charged, used for 2nd night. Other than that couldnt fault it. Beautiful inside and out. With all ypu could want/need. Thanks.

We had a magical time at Bevington. We aren't really tourists to the area and were not on holiday, instead we were staying in various self-catering accommodations between Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon whilst our home was undergoing extensive renovations. Every place we stayed in the area was nice, but Bevington was a cut above in every way. We chose the property because it was in the perfect location for us, listed excellent amenities such as a dishwasher and washer/dryer, and was offered at a very affordable price. As lovely as the pictures on the website were, it honestly looked even better in person. From the manicured garden outside, the cottage looks like it's been lifted straight off a picture postcard. Inside, it is wonderfully Tardis-like, somehow managing to feel both spacious and intimate. My older son was thrilled to have an entire floor to himself for two weeks. We loved the owner's taste in décor, with chic neutral colours and many delightful touches throughout. We found an exquisite welcome package in the kitchen with a note from Anabel, Bevington's wonderful manager, who had prepped the woodburner with logs and newspapers, all ready for us to simply light the paper and enjoy the drinks and cake in front of the fire. It was absolutely ideal and exactly what we needed after a day of cleaning, packing, school, work, and the usual life stressors. Anabel truly went above and beyond for us throughout our stay, at one point even coming to our rescue when we managed to lock ourselves out of the property. The day after we checked into Bevington, we were snowed in for 2 days. We had just bought three bags of firewood from a farm we had been visiting, and we had a lovely walk the few hundred metres to the local shop (open seven days a week!) for some food essentials. We couldn't believe our luck to be snowed in to such a lovely property with a wood-burning stove and all the amenities we could need to relax and keep warm. The cottage was so well-stocked from the beginning that we had a completely worry-free experience through the snowstorm. The attention to detail made Bevington truly special. The WiFi was excellent throughout the property, and there was a huge selection of books and DVDs on offer (some offered in French). Most self-catering properties provide basic equipment of the cheap and (sometimes) cheerful variety, but this cottage was stocked with luxury appliances like Dualit, Neff and Bosch, plus high-quality, metal cooking utensils and elegant cutlery. One wonderful bonus of our stay was that the Bosch washer-dryer managed to pull an old stain off of our son's rugby shirt which the half-dozen previous washing machines we'd used had failed to do. The Bevington handbook is informative and thorough. We've read many of these cottage handbooks over the past few months, and most concentrate a bit too heavily on laying out rules and restrictions. This handbook gave useful info, great tips and warned you about potential issues, all in a welcoming and humourous way. Parking was mentioned as one potential issue, and we did have different neighbours approaching us with their own 'parking agendas' but it stayed friendly and we were always able to find parking within steps of the property for both of our cars. The ceilings in the cottage are low and you do need to watch your head walking up and down the stairs between the first and second floor, but we got used to it quickly. There was no reception for mobile phone or texts in the cottage so we used an app through our provider (Three) that allows you to make calls and send texts over WiFi, which completely solved that problem. You do need to set-up that app some place with phone reception, so it required a bit of planning ahead. We loved the location of this property. We have kids at school in Warwick and Stratford, and this village is located exactly between them with an easy drive to either one. We especially loved being able to escape the touristy chaos of Stratford in December for the tranquillity of Snitterfield. We really cannot recommend this property highly enough. Our thanks to the owner for sharing her beautiful property with us, and to Anabel for all of the care she put into managing it.
