Wales Cottages

The Wales Regional Specialist -Fantastic properties in the most favourable locations. No one knows Wales better!

Description

The property is located about a thousand feet above sea level with views of the rolling hills and mountains from the living room and garden.

Beudy Newydd (New Barn) is now unrecognisable from its original humble beginnings as the old cow shed. Beautifully renovated with original beams in the kitchen it is now a highly desirable rural retreat. The property is located about a thousand feet above sea level with views of the rolling hills and mountains from the living room and garden.
The accommodation comprises a kitchen/dining room which feels light and airy due to the high beamed ceiling, contemporary yet subtle lighting and a neutral colour scheme. The open plan layout leads through to the living room where furnishings are stylish and comfortable. A wood burner is just waiting for kindling to be lit on a cold winter evening. The first bedroom is accessed from the right of the kitchen and has two windows, a double bed, a television and en-suite facilities. The second bedroom is accessed from the left of the kitchen via a small step and has a double bed and bunk beds. There is a very pretty little feature window here high up in the wall. The main bathroom is light and attractive with a shower over bath, toilet and basin. Heated towel rails are provided in both bathrooms. The owner has built in unobtrusive speakers throughout the property so that music may be listened to wherever you are. A complimentary welcome pack comprising milk, eggs, tea and bread will be provided.
There are numerous public footpaths for walkers to enjoy and a section of the North Wales cycle route cuts through Llanllechid. In around ten minutes you may drive to Penryhn Castle owned by the National Trust with its grand rooms and attractive gardens. Or if you prefer a little retail therapy the City of Bangor is a further five minutes away. Ask for the quick route to Aber Falls and you could be at the start of a really nice and not too arduous walk in about 15 minutes to see the waterfall. Nice tea rooms! Slightly further afield there are numerous attractive places to visit both seaside and hillside. If you want to feel really rural yet able to reach a vast array of tourist destinations, this is the place to be. Beach 5 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub 1¼ miles and restaurant 2¼ miles.
Beudy Newydd can be booked together with Y Gorlan (UK6043) to accommodate up to 10 guests.

Fantastic accommodation in a stunning area. The cottage was well equipped and very homely. There was a welcome pack of milk, butter, bread and Welsh cakes waiting for us. The owners made you feel very welcome. Lots to see and do in the area. We were lucky and had amazing weather. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice place, lovely location, owners friendly. Cottage very nice, great fire & nice comfortable lounge and well equipped kitchen. Would suggest updating the TV as the satellite/tv combo is a bit cumbersome (and I am quite a 'techie'!). Heating was superb (we stayed in Dec & it was very cold, but only really needed the log fire for effect).

This cottage is out in the wilds so no local shops/amenities, but this is part of it's charm. No traffic noise just the birds and sheep! Easy to tour N Wales, the road system is very good. We were made to feel very welcome and found a starter food pack of the basics together with Welsh cakes which we enjoyed with a cup of tea on arrival. Suggest you take a couple of days supplies with you until you find the local shops. The cottage is very comfortable with all mod cons and has been sympathetically converted from a cow shed. Parking outside. Once on the A55 follow the instructions given to go via the A5 junction 11 NOT those given by the Satnav!
