A wonderfully quirky little shepherds hut with a private hot tub and garden! Truly the perfect couple’s getaway, offering peace and relaxation.

Belmont’s Bothy is a stunning, bespoke shepherds hut set in the peaceful village of Ruthwell. This property is perfect for that romantic getaway and is beautifully presented inside with a fabulous double bed, hand-made kitchen area, a modern shower room and for those colder nights, a cosy wood burner! It is situated in Ruthwell, a quaint little village located close to the Solway Firth and with some amazing walks to discover in the area. The village is most famous for being the home to the world’s first commercial savings bank, opened in 1810. Situated only a few hundred yards from Belmonts Bothy, a visit is a must.

Belmont’s Bothy is in an ideal place to visit the surrounding area which is simply beautiful, with a huge range of activities close by no matter what time of year you visit. The county town of Dumfries provides a wide range of shops as well as many interesting historical sites including Burns House, the home of the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns.

With over 200 miles of stunning and dramatic coastline with secluded little bays and sandy beaches, supreme mountain biking and challenging hill walks, return to Belmonts Bothy with its private hot tub is just what is needed after a day exploring. With some of the darkest skies in the world, where better to end the day. Beach ½ mile. Shop 6 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
