What a wonderful location for discovering the myriad delights of four renowned Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Eden Valley, North Pennines, Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. With a network of footpaths and bridleways winding their way through Bolton and the neighbouring villages and up on to the local fells.
There are plenty of choices for days out; a day spent exploring Ullswater is never a day lost, or explore the rich Roman history of the area by visiting Penrith, Carlisle or Hadrian’s Wall.
