Fantastic location. Just minutes to sea front so could go out in evenings without using car. No chippy in evening but a huge variety of shops to purchase fresh food. Could do with a revamp - carpets , suite , kitchen but really no issues at all. Love Sidmouth. Oh, and the parking is a bonus. Having stayed there twice now we have come to realise how important parking is! Overall, fantastic.

A brilliantly located cottage within easy reach of the town and beach. Room to park a small car in the garage and another at the front. Always warm and equipped for most tastes. We have been many times and will certainly go again.

The cottage was very conveniently situated, a short walk from the sea and the town. We also appreciated the efficient heating, following the coldest week of the year. The decor and furniture was a little shabby, with a badly cracked bath panel. It was well equipped with kitchen utensils, and had a clear free view TV. There was a tiny courtyard but no outside drying facilities, although there was a washer/dryer in the kitchen. The parking was extremely tight on the " pavement" outside the cottage, inside double yellow lines, this made access to the front door very difficult.

All very good except for parking. Not owner's fault as car sizes have increased but perhaps a note to advise bringing small car if possible.

The cottage was in a lovely location. Internally there was mold growing on walls and curtains in both bedrooms..the hot water did not hear in bath or shower and toilet in main bathroom had a broken flush If all of this was corrected it would score much higher. It was not a conducive environment to sleep in

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The criticisms surprised us but on a personal inspection in response they were fair. Steps are being taken to correct these issues and in point of fact, the bedroom curtains have been replaced as a result. The walls have been treated and washed where condensation had stained them - presumably due to weather and temperature changes.

lovely cosy, warm little house within close reach to all the amenities, just a few little problems however that could do with sorting would then make this a perfect little holiday home. As we arrived later in the evening and left early morning we did have difficulty trying to see the numbers on the key box so a light near by would have been a great help. The bathrooms were beautifully decorated however the water pressure was not very good so the shower was not really useable. The furniture was also in need of a little updating but issues that can soon be put right, otherwise this is a lovely comfortable cottage and we enjoyed our break.

The cottage is in an excellent location, very close to sea, shops, cafes and restaurants. Everything was clean, and the wifi worked well. The only downsides were that the double bed is on the small side, and that the mattresses on the single beds are not as comfortable as the ones we are used to at home. I did not tick 10 for value for money because - as with all cottages - teachers and those with school-age children are always penalised financially for going away during the school holidays...
