The vibrant town offers a unique selection of independent shops offering locally produced food. The famous pannier market is not to be missed and there are an excellent selection of cafés and restaurants within walking distance. You will be spoilt for choice with excellent walking and cycling routes close by. There are stunning views from Magnolia House over the town towards Dartmoor National Park which is the largest and wildest area of open countryside in the south of England with its ancient woodland and granite tors. There are many stunning beaches to explore on the South Devon and Cornwall coasts and many National Trust properties including Cothele House, Saltram House, Lydford Gorge, Buckland Abbey and Castle Drogo. Golf, fishing and horse riding are all on offer close by and for a great day out, Plymouth, 12 miles has shops, theatres, the National Marine Aquarium and historic Barbican. Beach 16 miles.
