Be sure to bring your sea fishing rod and catch your supper. Wroxham, the capital of the broads, is within easy reach. The stark natural beauty of the Broads is best appreciated from the water, and with daily river trips or boats to hire, Wroxham is as good a place as any to start down the River Bure.
The outdoor tree adventure park BeWILDerwood at Horning is a great place for children to burn off some energy. For avid gardeners, a visit to the Old Vicarage Gardens at East Ruston is a must, and golfers won’t be disappointed with the courses at The Royal Cromer and Mundesley nearby. National Trust properties in the vicinity include Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and Horsey Windpump. Alternatively, the historical city of Norwich, 21 miles, boasts two indoor shopping malls, market square, cafés, restaurants, castle museum, cathedral and theatre.
