Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

A great base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales and neighbouring Lancashire, Beck Cottage offers homely accommodation ideal for couples or families.

This spacious terraced cottage will comfortably accommodate up to five guests with two bedrooms, and an additional room on the first floor with a futon-style sofa bed that can either be used as an additional living/reading room or as an additional sleeping space for the fifth person. The ground floor living area has dividing doors between the living room and kitchen, so the two rooms can either be separated or kept open-plan, making the space lovely and bright. Outside there is a small, enclosed, rear yard and garden which backs on to the brook, ideal for your four-legged friend.
Kelbrook, which was historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, is just 9 miles from Skipton, making this a great base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Kelbrook has a fish and chip shop, petrol station/shop and there is a great dining pub just on the doorstep. A wider range of amenities can be found in Earby, 1½ miles away, Barnoldswick is 2½ miles or a little further Colne is 4 miles away. Ideal for walkers there are lots of nice walks right on the doorstep. The village of Foulridge, 2 miles, has a reservoir known as Lake Burwain, or you can take a walk along the Leeds/Liverpool Canal which passes through the village. Pendle Hill is just 9 miles away, or for a more challenging walk why not try Yorkshire’s 3 peaks?
There are so many wonderful places to visit within easy driving distance, both coast and country. These include Skipton with its cobbled streets and Norman castle, 9 miles, Haworth and Bronte Country, 13 miles, Clitheroe, 15 miles, Ingleton, 28 miles and the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is 28 miles away.
Should you wish to venture further afield, the Fylde Coast (whose popular resorts include Blackpool and Lytham St Anne’s) is around an hour’s drive, and the Lake District is just over an hour. Bradford and Manchester are just under an hour’s drive and Leeds is around 70 minutes by car. If you prefer to travel by train, there are trains from Colne into Blackpool and Preston, or from Skipton 9 miles into Leeds, Bradford, Carlisle, Lancaster and Morecambe. Train lovers may also want to experience the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, 10 miles away. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
