Welcome to one of Ambleside’s hidden gems, tucked away in a quiet location, yet just a few minutes’ walk and you are right in the centre of this popular Lake District town. Stand on the door step and you have views of Wansfell and Loughrigg, giving you a sense and feel that you are in a quiet world away from it all. Open the door, and you step into a charming and very characterful cottage. Once part of a former farmhouse, Beck Cottage has kept much of its’ original character with exposed beams, wooden doors and traditional sash-style windows, adding a truly Lakeland feel to your stay. The layout is open plan on the ground floor, giving a bright and spacious living space, with comfortable seating, dining area and kitchen area, a rear door opens to a small undercover storage area and communal seating. On the first floor, the two bedrooms provide a double and a twin, along with a family shower room.
Beck Cottage is well placed for exploring, it is possible to leave the car and find everything on foot, with walks taking in Wansfell and the famous Fairfield Horseshoe, or catch one of the popular steamers from Waterhead Pier for a cruise on the lake. Why not simply just enjoy the many shops and eating places Ambleside has to offer? You will find something to enjoy no matter what time of year you choose to stay. Shops, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.
