This cottage is situated on the Beaufort Estate near Inverness. It has been renovated in 2019 with outstanding design and furnishing. It is a joy to be in and makes an ideal holiday home. Located on the historic 400-acre Beaufort Estate, there are views from the rear of the property across the rolling Scottish countryside.

Badger’s Lodge is set in a pretty position at the end of a row of historic estate cottages. Upon entering you arrive in the large, impressive open plan kitchen which is well-equipped to cook a delicious Highland meal or a hearty breakfast. The magnificent living/dining room has been tastefully designed and decorated. The furnishings are of the highest standard and there is a wood burner and large TV. The door from the living room, leads out to the patio where you can relax and enjoy the views across the surrounding peaceful countryside. There is also a convenient downstairs shower room and a twin bedroom.

This cottage is so fantastic you will hardly want to leave, but when you inevitably do there are walks all around the estate to enjoy. A little further afield is the popular village of Beauly, which has a good array of shops, cafés and restaurants to fuel your adventures in the local area. The cosmopolitan city of Inverness is only half an hour’s drive with its castle and St Andrew’s Cathedral. Just a little further east you can explore Culloden, Cawdor and Nairn, or even the Cairngorms National Park which is only a 45-minute drive south. The Moray Firth has a resident pod of bottle nose dolphins which you will have a great chance of seeing from the shore. Walking the beaches along the Moray Firth is a great way to see this part of Scotland and the local wildlife. The North Coast 500 is nearby, so you can follow this scenic route up the east coast to see gems such as the River Helmsdale and Duncansby Head. Or you can easily head west and reach Loch Ness within 20 minutes and continue towards the west coast and the magical Isle of Skye. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
