Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Nestled just yards away from the sea, this holiday property is the perfect escape for families looking for a seaside break away.

Beaches is a single-storey holiday property, which is in a separate, self-contained, part of the owner’s home, situated in Manningtree, Essex. Just a few yards from the Stour Estuary and beach, this property is the perfect waterside location for a family holiday. Beaches has been decorated and furnished to a good standard, and boasts charm and charisma with wooden beams throughout. This 450-year-old property has been organised to feel like a home from home, with traditional and contemporary facilities. In the garden shed is a garden Jenga, buckets and spades for the beach, and of course crabbing gear, which is a great pastime off the nearby quaysides when the tide is in! In the summer guests can enjoy a spacious courtyard garden, with private seating and gas barbecue - a perfect way to end a day by the sea and plan the next adventure.
The banks of the Stour Estuary make an idyllic route to walk the short distance to Mistley, with several pubs, a homely café within Mistley craft centre, a stunningly good restaurant in the Mistley Thorn, and of course the historic twin towers designed by Robert Adams. If you are lucky then you may see one of the few remaining Thames sailing barges against Mistley Quay. Beaches is also a great place to use as a base if you’re planning a walking or cycling holiday, as there are many local cycle routes, footpaths and attractions on offer all year round. Beach 15 yards. Shop 30 yards, pub 20 yards and restaurant 30 yards.
