We were given such a warm welcome by the owner with lovely home cooked goodies . The cottage was cosy and had everything a family needed for a great holiday by the sea. We so enjoyed our week here the area was fabulous to explore with two children aged 9 and 13 and two dogs the only downside was that our week ended too quickly!! We highly recommend this holiday cottage and would love to visit again.

This cottage had most of the things you could wish for, but the best was the fantastic garden! Beautiful and well kept, and very peaceful with lots of birds to look at.

Great location, but very poor cottage, stuck in 1970s , other guests called quirky or characterful , we would say outdated. Nothing worked properly bar the fridge and washer, even the kettle leaked water over the bench. Looked well maintained at first glance but after the first night you could spot the bodge ups. We booked it as dog friendly as it had a large garden. On arrival we were told by the owner we couldnt let the dog in the garden in case it peed on the plants and the urine burnt the plants.. really. Great location though, loved port william

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I'm sorry that this family were disappointed with their accommodation. There are photographs of the cottage interior online, so I would have expected them to have had an idea of what decor they could expect. It is an old cottage and I'm very limited in what kind of furniture I can bring in due to the layout of the entrance hall and doorways. The kettle had not leaked for the previous guests, and it appeared to have been damaged. The guests were asked politely to toilet their dog across the road in the park, where bins are provided for the waste, but they were also told that the dog was welcome in the garden as long as he was in their company.

We had a fantastic stay at Beach Cottage which started off with a lovely welcome from the owner which included scones and brownies. The cottage was spotless with everything you needed. The picture doesn't do this wee place justice. Yes it's old fashioned but that adds to the beauty of it. One thing though it doesn't have a DVD player but don't let that put you off. The garden at the back is breathtaking with views from the top going on for miles. A wee gem and we will visit again.
