Baswick Steer is a beautiful holiday cottage. Everything you could need is provided for you. The living and dining areas have ample space for a large family group. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. Having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom, was a fantastic help. Our group included four generations of our family and this allowed the older ones to live downstairs in complete peace and quiet (and enjoy a lie in) while the rest of the family still had plenty of room upstairs. The boot room was brilliant for wiping down the dogs after a particularly wet Easter. The added bonus of a snooker room was much enjoyed by the men of the household and the ladies thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet in their absence too. The rear garden and adjacent football pitch allowed the family to enjoy what little sunshine we had and the walks on the nearby River Hull were enjoyed greatly. We can recommend this cottage whole-heartedly and would love to go back again.

Lovely, comfortable place to stay. Plenty of space for 9 of us and 3 dogs. Outside space was fantastic with a large fenced garden and separate playing area/football pitch - incredibly the ground grass was firm and not at all muddy despite one of the wettest winters I can recall. Only downside is the single lane track to get to the cottage, although the positive aspect of that is the peaceful surroundings you find yourself in. Good services close by in Brandesburton and close to Beverley and some nice spots on the coast.

We had a fantastic weekend celebrating birthdays. The cottage was more remote than we realised but in the end it was a bonus. We spent more time there, making good use of the games room. We went to Bridlington for the day, as we had 2 young children with us but they were more than happy to be at the cottage. All of the rooms were spacious and we never felt on top of each other. We will definitely be rebooking for next year.

Lovely weekend at Baswick Steer. 7 kids in our group loved the house-especially the games room and garden. Very spacious with everything we needed. House is a bit 'middle of nowhere' so ensure you don't forget any essentials. Would happily stay again.
