Had a lovely week. Great central location for visiting the lakes and the cottage itself was spotless, cosy and had all the amenities you could ever need.

Lovely well furnished and well equipped cottage a short walk from Pooley Bridge village centre. Friendly owners and neighbours and red squirrels in front garden. You need to take your own towels which is fine, only niggle was there was no dishcoth to wipe the kitchen benches. Apart from that it was spot on and I would definitely go again:)

A clever conversion of an old school house. A good layout with plenty of space that worked well for us, a family of 4 plus grandfather. One of the bedrooms is on a separate side of the house with its own en suite which meant Grandad had his own space and privacy. The house is in a lovely setting with a very nice outlook and views. The only downside is that Pooley Bridge is not a safe walk away, it is close distance-wise but there are no paths and there is fairly frequent traffic which made it a little dicey. There is a lot to do locally, we only scratched the surface. This area of the lakes is less crowded than Windemere side. Would definitely recommend.
