An excellent choice for couples looking to enjoy quality time together – whether a romantic break, to celebrate a special occasion or simply to take the time to enjoy each others company in a delightful location. An immaculate and stylish presented barn conversion adjoining the owner’s art studio in the rural village of Gamblesby. The double patio doors lead onto a delightful sitting-out area which has steps leading to a well-tended garden. From here, a grassy path leads to the duck pond where you can enjoy 360 degrees of amazing views. The tranquil village of Gamblesby is set under the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the unspoilt Eden Valley. It is just a 30 minute drive from Ullswater, in the Lake District National Park, a little further to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and also the Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall. This is a perfect place to relax and explore the spectacular and contrasting scenery of northern England. Besides excellent local and more adventurous walking, plus numerous cycle routes (C2C runs close to the village), there are also many visitor attractions to enjoy. Penrith, 10 miles, is the main town of the North Lakes and is full of interesting local shops. Long Meg and her Daughters (ancient stone circle), the Settle to Carlisle Railway line with the occasional steam train, boat trips on Lake Ullswater, the narrow gauge South Tyndale Railway and numerous historic sites and castles are just a few of the highlights.
