A very cosy little cottage, which we used as a base for walking the coast path in Penwith. We stayed in another cottage fairly nearby last year, and Bal Maiden's Cottage was definitely superior in terms of comfort, equipment and interior decoration. A welcome pack of milk, shortbread, tea, coffee plus bath shower gel and shampoo was lovely and much appreciated - thank you! The parking area at the rear is only really suitable for a small car but we parked across the road, as do the local residents in this terrace of houses. St Just is a short drive away with a decent range of shops. For eating out locally I would recommend the North Inn in Pendeen for good reliable pub food, excellent beer and a friendly welcome, plus the Field House for a superb evening meal on Thursdays or Fridays. The latter is not licensed but you are welcome to bring your own bottle. We will return!
