Bakers cottage is a very beautiful space to be in, a mix of old with new comforts. The garden is pretty large and an enclosed space and although it's next to the owner's home, it felt very private. The location is extremely quiet and the house very clean. The nearest pub and shop are about 1 and a half miles away in the heart of Hoxne. Walks and cycling can be done from the doorstep. It's a perfect rural retreat. Well within an hour of Southwold, Aldeburgh and Norwich and smaller places much closer such as Framlingham and Saxmundham. Duncan us a very friendly and helpful host. It's altogether a wonderful place to stay.

Fantastic cottage with awesome facilities entertainmentwise. Local rapeseed growers 'cannons' woke us up every morning before 6am though.

Bakers Cottage is a little gem! Comfortable and cosy with a large kitchen full of character. Duncan the proprietor was extremely pleasant and helpful and welcomed us with a loaf of bread which he had baked in the bread oven in the kitchen accompanied by butter and jam. Found some new discovery in the cottage every day. Well done Duncan with a very tasteful restoration. I would highly recommend Bakers Cottage to anyone (NB. the stairs are narrow and steep and I would agree with the suggestion of wearing some form of footwear in the kitchen as the floor, which is beautiful, is 'undulating'). Hope to return in the future.

Lovely, spacious cottage with some luxurious touches. Good base to explore the region; probably better later in the year with some warmer weather but lovely and cosy nonetheless.

An excellent rural retreat which has been lovingly restored to a high standard. The property is in easy driving distance of main towns such as Diss and yet there are local amenities on hand to meet all your holiday needs

On entering this delightful cottage, and being hit with the smell of freshly baked bread, we guessed this was going to be a lovely place to stay. We weren't wrong as Duncan, the owner, has thought of everything anyone could need to make their stay a pleasant one. Living in a modern property, as we do, to stay in an "olde worlde" cottage with lots of beams, having been a converted outhouse, was absolutely wonderful. The only negative, although not for us, is that it is unsuitable for anyone with walking disabilities or the very elderly, as the stairs are steep and the kitchen floor, being the original brick flooring, is uneven. This little cottage is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in, and the welcome was certainly the best ever. Thank you Duncan.
