Positioned within the small hamlet of Warleggan on the south side of Bodmin Moor, Badgers Cottage is a delightful, dog friendly property, with a wood burner to keep you cosy on a blustery autumn day and a quiet garden with far reaching rural views, a perfect spot for a summer al fresco dinner or barbecue. The owner also has a large field opposite with veg garden and, on request, these may also be used by guests. If you are wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life you will not find anywhere more peaceful.
Badgers Cottage is traditionally decorated throughout to a high standard. The comfortable living room and conservatory dining room give you plenty of space to spread out and relax, whilst the kitchen is well-equipped and any budding chef on holiday will enjoy cooking up a storm. Also on the ground floor is a double aspect twin room with whitewashed walls and cool tiled floor. Stairs from the hallway lead up to the first floor where you’ll find the second bedroom, with comfortable double bed, plenty of storage and panoramic views. Completing the first floor is the family bathroom. A “gardeners toilet” is located outside.
Before Warleggan was linked to the A38 in 1953 and more recently to the A30 it was considered one of the remotest parts of the county, now a mere 4 miles from the dual carriageway this hamlet offers fabulous links to both the North Coast and its glorious golden sands, secluded coves and wild promontories but also the pretty fishing villages and artists retreat along the South Coast including Looe and Polperro, the Eden project, Lanhydrock House and the start of the Camel trail. There is a pub & shop 3.5 miles away at St Neot. Bodmin, with all amenities, including various large supermarkets is 7 miles away. Beach 14½ miles.
