Description

Tythe Barn is set on a 230-acre arable farm with the River Avon running through the garden, and is perfect for walkers and cyclists.

Set within the owner’s 230-acre arable farm, these four outstanding properties are decorated to a high standard, and each boasts a large open plan living area. There are goats and chickens on the farm, so if you are up early enough, you can help yourself to some fresh eggs or take a look round the stables. Guests have access to the 230 acres of land, which includes the River Avon, where you can do a spot of fishing (licence required). Take a walk through the farmland and you reach the local pub, which is situated on the bank of the river. The farm is also 2 minutes away from the Bristol and Bath cycle track, perfect for cyclists and walkers, and the property is close to Saltford Sailing Club.
Surrounded by open countryside, Saltford is also known for its history and has a conservation area with a restored brass mill (dating to 1720), an old manor house and a church with a Saxon tower. Just 16 miles away is the vibrant heritage city of Bath, which boasts the famous Roman baths, Thermae Bath Spa, and the famous Royal Crescent, which is one of Bath’s most iconic landmarks. There are also several National Trust areas nearby including Dyrham Park and Stourhead House. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

A fabulous location, great accommodation and very helpful owners. We've stayed in numerous locations over the years and this is probably the best to date. As the saying goes .... If Heineken did Barn Conversions.....

One word for our stay at Tythe Barn.......Wonderful! From the moment we arrived our welcome from Serena, very helpful and friendly. The magnificent first impression of the barn. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and we really enjoyed the fresh eggs from the chickens. The bottle of bubbly we certainly enjoyed, as we were celebrating a special birthday! Stunning location and even with the extreme temperatures whilst we stayed, we did enjoy the hot tub and having the log burning stove to warm up after enjoying the hot tub was great. We certainly will be coming back. Thanks once again to Serena and Clive. Such wonderful hosts and your consideration, attention to detail and helpful nature whilst we stayed at the barn was very much appreciated. We would highly recommend anyone to come and stay at the barn. Such a great location, wonderful accommodation and stunning countryside views with great hosts what more does anyone need. We really didn’t want to leave! J and R

A fantastic, modern barn with a luxury feel. Lovely welcome pack on arrival & plentiful supply of logs for the fire. Hot tub a bonus. Lots of thoughtful added extras. River close by for fishing & a couple of pubs within a 10 minute walk.

Fantastic half term break with the family. Beautifully converted barn, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The welcome pack was gratefully received and the hot tub was a massive hit with the kids and adults alike. The children also loved fetching eggs from the chickens and feeding the friendly goats. Will definitely look to come back.

This was a lovely place to stay, fairly central to both Bath & Bristol, with great walks from your doorstep, if you are very fit you can do the riverside walk all the way into Bristol. Accommodation was to a very high standard. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing peaceful break, but also for people who like to explore further afield. If you have children they will enjoy feeding the Chickens, Goats and and collecting eggs from the chicken coops daily, also seeing the Horses passing by the Barn every morning.

A well equipped, spacious property in a beautiful part of England. Fantastic views and the City of Bath 15 minutes away. Wish our stay had been longer but we well definitely return.
