Located in Horham, once the location of an American airbase in WWII is close to this stylish barn conversion.

Set on the edge of the quiet picturesque village of Horham, Avocet is a single storey barn conversion, the end wing of the owner’s barn. Guests have their own private lawned garden and use of the owner’s 22 acres of grounds. Centrally located there are many nearby places to visit including the market towns of Eye and Diss, the village of Stradbroke which has an indoor swimming pool, Framlingham and Orford with their 12th century castles, the Norfolk Broads and the Suffolk Heritage Coastline. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Very comfortable, quiet, spacious and relaxing cottage. Only really criticism: The kitchen was not particularly well equipped for self catering, dishes, pots and pans etc.

The property is in the quiet village of Horham, suitable for a family of 4 adults and 2 children, with a open plan kitchen/diner to a through lounge. Two spacious double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower. Second bathroom comes with a corner bath and a walk in shower. The twin bedroom for the children is inviting, with a touch of soft furnishings. Large lawn garden, with patio and chairs and barbecue to the rear of the property, and the front is gated at night. Nearest superstores are in Diss, which is 15 minutes by car. We would definitely go back a gain to this property.

Amazing holiday and such a relaxing time with the family. The attention to detail in the cottage and the effort made to Christmas the place up was amazing. The owner came over to visit on a couple of occasions to make sure everything was going well and to check if we needed anything. Could not recommend the place enough!! Book it today!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avocet which suited our particular requirements very well. The property was very well appointed and tastefully decorated and the owner was very pleasant and helpful to us during our stay. We loved staying in the village/rural location but it wasn't far to get to the local villages if we needed any provisions. It was also in a central location which meant it was a similar distance to drive east to the coast or west to visit Bury St Edmunds, Ickworth etc. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a comfortable stay at Avocet visiting family in the area. Our two young children, ages 2 and 6, adapted well to the cottage, loving the space and layout. Laundry and dishwasher were a bonus, especially with children. There's a great many things to do within a short drive, as well as many family-friendly pubs.
