This makes the location an excellent touring base for exploring the Yorkshire and Durham Dales to the east, and the Lake District National Park to the west.
This detached holiday lodge provides accommodation of a very good standard, is tastefully furnished, very comfortable and well equipped, with its own hot tub and enjoys countryside views and a lovely setting on a no through lane within a small, rural caravan park. The park encourages wildlife and has a conservation pond with a wide variety of birds in the surrounding woodlands and there are frequent visits from roe deer.

This is a wonderful base for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. Less than a mile away, main roads give access to the myriad attractions and stunning landscapes of the Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales and County Durham, and the shops, pubs and restaurants of Brough are also only 1 mile away. The larger town of Kirkby Stephen, 5 miles, has a supermarket and variety of gift shops, cafés, a tourist information office, library and station for the Carlisle/Settle railway. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
The Beeches can be booked together with The Pines (ref UK11127), Willow Cottage (ref UK11128), Holly’s Lodge (ref E4072), The Elms (ref E4306), Hazel Cottage (ref E4786), Sycamore View (ref E5123), Beckside Cabin (UK12376) and Mill View Cabin (UK12377) to accommodate up to 42 guests.

We absolutely loved this place. Really private location. The hot tub and accommodation were terrific and there were amazing places to visit. Windermere was great for a day out, Brough Castle was haunting and Poet’s Pathway with it’s carved stones was wonderful. As for The Ice-Cream Parlour Oooooh. I had seen some negative reviews about the beds but I’m a really bad sleeper and I actually slept very well. The wildlife on the bird feeders was incredibly varied. Yes, you can hear the road but it actually didn’t bother us at all and certainly wouldn’t stop us going again. The only thing I would ask is if there could be a couple of wooden spoons in the kitchen. Other than that. Perfect. Our party was two adults, two 16 year olds and 2 big dogs. We had a great time. We never heard the pool man once. Thank you Nicola

We had a great stay! 4 adults and 2 children. Plenty of space in the lodge for 6 people and 2 dogs. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Hot tub was fab, well used by us  One of our party saw a red Squirrel  but not quick enough with the camera! We would definitely visit again.

The location is idyllic and quite isolated. It is close to the A66 and there is some very slight traffic noise when sitting on the veranda There are many lodges and caravans on the site, which has 2 levels and are all adequately spaced. The Beeches, where we stayed, is for 6 people with a very spacious living and dining area. 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower and 2 other bedrooms with twin beds and a shared shower. There is a large surround veranda with a hot tub which is always hot and available all through the day, if needed. The Beeches is extremely well maintained and extremely clean with all that is needed for a comfortable, peaceful stay with TV’s and free Internet. The bird life and rabbits are marvellous to sit and view through the day. Brough, the nearest town, is about 1mile away along the A66, with Kirkby Stephen in the opposite direction. 10/10 for me.
