This location makes for an excellent touring base for exploring the Yorkshire and Durham Dales to the east, and the Lake District National Park to the west. This detached holiday property offers riverside views from the private decking. It is tastefully furnished, well-equipped and very comfortable, enjoying countryside views and a lovely setting on a no-through lane within a small, rural caravan park.

The park encourages wildlife and has a conservation pond with a wide variety of birds in the surrounding woodlands, as well as frequent visits from roe deer. This is a wonderful base for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. Less than a mile away, main roads give access to the myriad attractions and stunning landscapes of the Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales and County Durham. A plethora of shops, pubs and restaurants are available in Brough, only a mile away. The larger town of Kirkby Stephen, 5 miles away, has a supermarket and variety of gift shops, cafés, tourist information office and train station. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

This is an absolutely lovely and quirky place to stay. Very clean and makes the best of the space. The river running past outside the window, deer, red squirrels and bunnies on the site add to the magic. Lots to do nearby but you do need a car. Lots of helpful info provided about local walks. Well equipped kitchen which could just do with a grater, chopping board and sieve. Slight downsides were A66 right next to site but couldn't hear with windows shut, beds not very comfy, upstairs mattresses very soft, and wifi didn't work. But overall these things can be overlooked and worked round so would recommend it highly.

Lovely place to stay and was immaculate. Some people might struggle to climb the ladder to bed. The only downside was very poor WiFi connection which only worked briefly for the first couple of days. An ideal getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Mill View cabin, there was plenty of room for the two of us and it was really well kept, very clean and everything looked new. The decking area is large and the stream behind the cabin makes for a pretty view - we woke up to red squirrels and plenty of rabbits every day! It was a peaceful and relaxing stay. It is in a great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, North Pennines and the Lake District…for us it did feel a little far to the Lake District sometimes but it was great value for money and the trade off is having such a lovely place to stay - we would definitely stay there again.
