This makes the location an excellent touring base for exploring the Yorkshire and Durham Dales to the east, and the Lake District National Park to the west.
This detached holiday lodge provides accommodation of a very good standard, is tastefully furnished, very comfortable and well equipped, enjoys countryside views and a lovely setting on a no through lane within a small, rural caravan park. The park encourages wildlife and has a conservation pond with a wide variety of birds in the surrounding woodlands and there are frequent visits from roe deer.

This is a wonderful base for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. Less than a mile away, main roads give access to the myriad attractions and stunning landscapes of the Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales and County Durham, and the shops, pubs and restaurants of Brough are also only 1 mile away. The larger town of Kirkby Stephen, 5 miles, has a supermarket and variety of gift shops, cafés, a tourist information office, library and station for the Carlisle/Settle railway. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Very clean & tidy, got everything you need in the kitchen. Beautiful scenery. WiFi is a little hit & miss but we didn't go there for that!!! Lovely place I'd definitely go again.

We were very pleasantly surprised at how lovely the lodge and site was. Everything was immaculately clean and is a great base to explore either Yorkshire, Co Durham or Cumbria. To give an honest review I should give the couple of negatives we had - the ensuite shower didn't heat up but main shower did so it didn't hugely bother us. The head board was a bit grubby in the main bedroom and even though it had very clean sheets, the duvet could have definitely done with a clean or replacing. The WiFi didnt work well and the site is quite remote and has a little traffic noise but to be completely truthful, these little niggles didn't spoil our holiday in the slightest and we all said that we would definitely return. It has a short country walk around a pond and a lovely kids playpark, so perfect to walk the dog and keep the kids entertained. It was a little haven and extremely good value for money, we had a fab family break away. Can't wait to return and can definitely recommend others to book 

Nice wee quiet holiday park. The en-suite shower didn't heat up though.
