Great place for a large group, fantastic location over looking a loch, children had a brilliant time, lots of great day trips to do nearby. Some of the decor is a little tired but was fine for us with 5 small children, great value for money.

The setting of this house is absolutely beautiful, its rural and very quiet, it was ideal for all of us as a once a year family weekend away. All the family are happy to go back for next year, there is plenty of space, nice big bedrooms and a large family dining room with space for all 11 of us round the table. Nice walks with the dogs although it was a bit of a shame we couldn't get down to the lochside right out side the front of the property, its a great place to sit at night with the outside fire pit, in this case the large barbeque and with a clear sky watch the beautiful sky above.

Our third holiday at Auchinellan house. Thoroughly enjoyed by all 9 adults and dogs. Weather very kind to us, great to explore the huge grounds and managed to spot a red squirrel! House lovely and warm with a fantastic fire to relax by after a day walking and skiing. Thanks again for having us.

This is a great place to stay if you just want to get away from it all. There is a coop about 20 minutes down the road or you can travel to Oban about 45 minutes north where you can get more shopping options. The house has a massive kitchen and dining area that more than caters for a full house. The sitting room also has an open fire which is great at night. Extremely comfortable and the caretaker is a pleasure to deal with. The house has wifi for you to stay in touch with people but has no cellular signal which is also great for not getting disturbed. This is our second time staying here and we’re already planning our next trip.

We have been to Auchinellan twice now and would definitely go back. It's a lovely, comfortable house, the heating works well during a cold winter stay and the bedrooms are good sized with comfortable beds and cosy duvets. A couple of small things which would help improve it would be better lighting (we appreciate the need for low energy bulbs but in the dark days of January it can be a bit dull) and the shower in the first floor bathroom working better. However these are small things and would certainly not put us off a return visit. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for the weekend, it was excellent value for money, a lovely house with lots of character. The children loved the house and grounds and the library. Very cosy with the real fire in the library. Thanks for a lovely visit.
