This room is also packed with character from the wooden floors, open beams and exposed brick work. The dining table sits in front of two sets of French windows which open out onto the terrace area and flood the room with natural light. Here you can sit and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal prepared on the Aga by the chef in the family. A large walk-in pantry provides plenty of storage for all the wonderful produce purchased from the many independent delis in Malton. A separate toilet completes the ground floor accommodation. Take the winding cottage stairs to the first floor to find two individually styled bedrooms. A twin with sloping ceilings and wooden floor and the master bedroom with a kingsize bed, duel aspect views across open countryside and exposed beams. The house bathroom with freestanding enamel bath is a delight and offers luxury yet with old world Victorian charm. To the second floor is the final bedroom with a super kingsize zip and link double bed, with a vaulted ceiling, raised platform for the bed and feature round window this room oozes charm and character. To the front of Auburn Cottage is a large brick paved area with additional seating and storage for bikes.

There is a plethora of independent shops, art galleries, delis, tea rooms and pubs to enjoy. And an evening at the local Italian restaurant is not to be missed.
