Enjoy a little pampering at Ashen Cross Holiday Cottages with a generous welcome pack to greet you - with fresh eggs, Cornish cider and beer, a lovely home baked cream tea (with thick clotted Cornish cream), logs and a barbecue pack included. Additionally, fresh towels are provided mid stay, homemade cakes are provided on a Wednesday, and there is a mini bar and music in the lakeside summerhouse. Speakers are provided and guests can plug in their own music players (iPhones/iPods). Truly a little piece of heaven is hidden away here. Dogs are also made to feel at home, with welcome treats and even a large paddock to give them a run in, although they may need to be kept on a lead near the sheep. You can explore the 3 acres of grounds (shared), or enjoy fishing for carp, roach, tench and orf (permit required), or just while away a lazy afternoon on the banks of the waterlily-topped ponds spotting brightly coloured dragonflies.
Both properties are semi-detached barn conversions. The Court (ref UKC2173) is a spacious, ground floor property perfect for couples. It has a wood burner for cosy evenings and winter breaks, and its living room boasts wooden floors and large French doors, which open onto a private enclosed patio-style rear garden. The Owl (ref UKC2174) is reached via some stone steps; it also has French doors leading onto a private enclosed rear patio garden with fields beyond (some with polytunnels). This property is great for a small family of four, and has the option for a fifth guest on a comfortable Z-bed.
Ashen Cross Holiday Cottages are located midway between Looe and Polperro, and just a 10-minute drive from some of the most amazing beaches and coastline in Cornwall, including Talland Bay and Lansallos Cove, which are not to be missed. Be sure to visit the bustling, iconic little seaside town of Looe, and the quintessential Cornish fishing village of Polperro - both firm favourites with holidaymakers of all ages. Ashen Cross offers something for everyone, and the owners, who live on-site, hope to make everyone feel special. Beach within 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile. These properties can be booked together to sleep up to 7 guests.

Welcome pack and doggy extras. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with other property on-site). Enclosed patio garden with garden furniture and disposable barbecue. 3-acre grounds with dog exercise paddock and summerhouse (shared with other property and owners on-site). 2 dogs welcome (may need to be kept on lead (sheep). Fishing on-site (shared with other property and owners on-site, permit required). No smoking. Please note: There is a lake in the grounds and there are sheep in the paddock.

    The cottage and location were ideal, you were made so welcome when you arrived Tracey was there to meet you and make you very welcome. The home baking and midweek treat and clean towels mid week all made the cottage even better. The fishing lake is amazing even for someone who doesn’t want to fish go and watch the carp feeding on the surface, even in November. Everything about the holiday was great and we can’t wait to go back.

    All the visitors tributes to this perfect accommodation are so well deserved and the owners couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. I would happily spend 52 weeks a year at The Court!

    Our enjoyment of our holiday was definitely enhanced by the excellent accommodation. It was clean, comfortable, in an ideal location and the owners were extremely hospitable. There were home-made scones and bread, along with butter, jam, clotted cream, milk, a bottle of Cornish beer, a bottle of Cornish cider and flowers to welcome us on our arrival. There was plenty of local information provided in the cottage and Tracy and Geoff were around to give us extra help should we need it. They were the ideal hosts. The holiday was made even better by the excellent sunny weather!
