Can't believe how lucky we were finding this place! Robert the owner was just lovely and so helpful. Stayed in many holiday rentals over the years and Appletree Barn is by far the best equipped. We were a family group including a young disabled member, and the easy layout and wet room were perfect for us. We would love to come again

On arrival at the cottage we were very, very disappointed. Every day the electricity went off, up to 10 times a day because there is a problem in the wiring system that they can't find. There wasn't a BBQ, until Bob brought in a new one on day 4. There wasn't any WiFi for 2 days. There was no glass in the door of the wood burner so we couldn't use it. Very uncomfortable furniture with springs sticking in you when you sat on it. Beds were uncomfortable too. We had to ask for extra pillows and new pillow cases were brought to us still in the packets, not washed through ready for use. We had to ask for extra desert spoons as there was only 5 in the drawer. We had to wash all the things in the kitchen as we found mould growing in the casserole dishes. We had 2 dogs with us but the garden was not enclosed as stated as it is shared with other houses and caravan pitches. Also, the owners dog had free roam of the garden and there was dog faeces in various places. The patio area was full of weeds and not nice to sit in.

The owner has his house built in the garden so he can look over you at any moment... Our interaction with him was so negative to the point where he became very personal insulting my daughter We were so upset by him that we left..we'd only been there an hour at most

A lovely barn with plenty of room and a great hot tub. It could do with an extra sofa and a few more knives and forks but that's small stuff. The owners are great.

Cottage to near to owners home, although he was friendly enough his wife is ill unfortunately and so couldn't use hot tub later than 10ish. Log burner in cottage we were asked not to use as it makes the cottage smell. Couldn't use hot tub on first day as he wasn't notified.
