Applecross is known as ’a Chomraich’, which means ’The Sanctuary’ in Gaelic. When you visit, you’ll clearly understand why, as it is, without doubt, one of the most scenic and remote wilderness areas in Scotland, lying between the Scottish mainland mountain ranges and the Isle of Skye. Locally, you will find places to eat, offering freshly caught seafood, local produce, and a warm Highland welcome! Outdoor enthusiasts will be in heaven. You can take to the hills from the doorstep, explore the crystal-clear waters, cycle, fish, and enjoy having all this on your doorstep with the fresh Highland air.
