An outstanding cottage, perfectly located in a very pleasant village, which boasts an excellent pub, very good food. The cottage itself is well equipped and nothing seems to have been overlooked. The owners were very hospitable and provided a really nice welcome hamper. Unfortunately we experienced really awful weather and as a result didn't get any real outside time. However the rear garden is secluded and pleasant if only the sun had shone! Not deterred this is definitely a cottage we would look to return to.

We stayed at Apple Tree Cottage for the weekend celebrating my Husbands 40th Birthday. Our weekend away was wonderful, we met Pam on arrival who had provided a wonderful welcome basket (Thank you!) and gave us a quick tour of the cottage to ensure we knew where everything was that we may need. The pictures shown on the listing are completely accurate, it really is as beautiful and cosy and luxurious as it looks. The setting of the cottage is beautiful, its quiet and peaceful and there is a pub literally minutes walk from the cottage (although we didn't visit it). The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need, everything! so well thought out and we were able to enjoy the wonderful fire on the evening of our arrival as it was quite miserable outside but just made it feel all the more cosy inside the cottage. I honestly cannot recommend this cottage enough, it is truly wonderful.

We stayed at Apple Cottage for our anniversary and can honestly say it's probably the best cottage we've ever stayed at (and we've stayed at a lot!). It is full of thoughtful touches and has been very cleverly thought out - is has literally every amenity you can think of! The welcome pack is a lovely addition and is jam packed with goodies, and Pam very kindly showed us around and was very welcoming. The property is really dog friendly too, with a fantastic enclosed garden with lighting. The local pub is nice, as are other places surrounding it, and it's really close to Rutland water which has great walks too. All in all a simply superb cottage which is a credit to the owners - we will 100% return!

Stayed with my daughter and miniature schnauzer. On arrival, Pam was there to welcome us with the key and started the log burner. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were a lovely surprise and much appreciated. Can’t fault the cottage in any way. It was immaculate and had everything we could need! A lovely range of books in the cabinet or dvds. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries and there was seasoning and condiments to add to our cooking. The underfloor heating was easy to control at a pleasant temperature. The back garden was secure so the dog couldn’t get out. The cottage smelt fresh and clean and has clearly been very well looked after. Very good communication with the owners who are very helpful and supplied information about the local area in a folder. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Apple Tree Cottage has been sympathetically renovated to modern standards whilst cleverly retaining traditional and original features. The little extra touches make all the difference and the welcome pack was generous and very much appreciated. The wood burner made the cottage feel really cosy and was especially appreciated by Ki the dog. The Green Man pub just up the road was welcoming too and served some fantastic food. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely recommend to friends. Thank you.

What can we say? We have had a wonderful week at Apple Tree Cottage! Of all the places we have stayed over the years, this has to be the best bar none - a real home from home with outstanding attention to detail and comfort. Dogs are very welcome here, though (if you are non-doggy people like us) you would never know - the cleanliness is immaculate. The owners' welcome was warm and generous. Highly recommended.
