The Farmhouse is a really great property. We stayed for a 70th Birthday weekend and had a lovely time. Don't normally like to give 10/10 as nothing is perfect, but can't really think of a reason to take points off! One suggestion to anyone coming with young children - it is very dark at night time if you are used to a more urban setting, so pack a night-light or something so they can find their way to the bathroom, etc if they wake up! The house was well equipped and we had everything needed for 9 people. All the bathrooms had good quality fittings too - we like to have a good shower and weren't disappointed. This was also probably the cleanest cottage we have stayed in. Thanks to the hosts.

This is a lovely cottage with amazing views. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery and Utensils. Both lounges had nice furniture and were comfortable to sit in. The beds were also really comfortable and clean. The hot tub was clean when we arrived, but not up to recommended temperature, so we couldn’t stay in it very long as it was too cold. However, we used it the following day and it was lovely. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use it the day after that as it hadn’t been topped up with fresh water, which I assume meant that the chemicals hadn’t been checked/added either. This should be checked daily for H&S reasons. We had a lovely weekend, but had a few small niggles apart from the hot tub: •From Saturday evening onwards, we had no Wi-Fi, even though the box was on, but it kept dipping in and out. •We had to arrive later and leave earlier due to extra cleaning because of covid, we didn’t think the house was as clean as it should be. There were several cobwebs around and dust under furniture. • The bathrooms (particularly downstairs) smelt very damp. •It would have been a nice gesture to leave small essentials in case anything was forgotten ie, tea bags, milk, salt, pepper, shower gel etc. it’s quite expensive to stay there and many other places in this price range offer welcome packs. • Small hand towels for all bathrooms. • Only 3 towels left out for hot tub use and only a few gowns. Not enough for 8 people. • No switch to be found for the Aga. • No visitors book for comments, even though it was mentioned in the welcome booklet. As I said previously, we really enjoyed our stay, but these little extras would have made all the difference.
