My take away for no. 22 Horizon view is, beautiful apartment with stunning views. Perfect location for the beach, restaurant and shops. It was very hot weather while we were there in July '22, we were able to sleep with the bedroom patio door open all week and it was lovely to hear the sea all night and wake up to those gorgeous views every morning. Wrap around floor to ceiling windows make the most of the views with patio furniture on the balcony so you can have breakfast or lunch outside. Pretty much everything is provided in the kitchen for preparing meals. The apartment was clean and tidy. Car not necessary if you just want to chill in Westward Ho! There is a Spar, a Tesco Express and a bakery in walking distance from the apartment. We drove 10 minutes to the Tesco Superstore on Manteo way. There is also a Morrissons, 10 minutes drive away. We appreciated the washing machine for washing a few clothes and it was easy to use with a quick wash. A good iron and board is also provided. Our only small gripe would be that the towels and bed linen provided didn't smell or feel particularly clean and fresh. We washed the towels while there and found the capacity of the washing machine is only big enough for a few items, not big enough for an average load of towels or bed linen. To feel confident about the cleanliness of the linen and towels is so important, especially now, in these Covid times. We had lovely meals at Morans restaurant and The Drift, tea and cake at Tea on the Green and perfect fish and chips from Atlantic Bay - gluten free battered fish available on a Monday, unbattered grilled fish available all other days - all these eateries are a short walk from the apartment. We had early morning walks along the coastal path, past the beach huts and haunted house, just keep walking, slightly challenging in places, the furthest we walked was 2 miles but you can keep going all day if you want and take a picnic. The views are awesome. We wouldn't hesitate to book this apartment again and hope to return, it is a pretty unique spot for a UK seaside place. Tip: Although access to the beach appears to be only accessible over rocks and pebbles, there is access to the sandy part of the beach via a concrete ramp. From the green, keep walking along the beach front wall, past the restaurants and amusement arcade and you will find the ramp.

Great airy, spacious apartment with stunning views. Comfortable bed and furniture, it had everything we needed (we used the kitchen more due to limited dining options in Westward Ho - belatedly found good choices in Appledore) and parking was a real benefit. Small gripe: a few fittings need refixing. NB there are a flight of internal stairs from apartment's ground floor front door to apartment level - not for the frail.

No.22 provides one of the most superb panoramic views of the British coast. It’s like being on a cruise, without moving anywhere! The lounge and the main bedroom both benefit from floor to ceiling windows, giving hourly changing views of the tides. So lovely to return after exploring the local area. The sunsets were mesmerising. Westward Ho! itself is small but does have places to eat and drink. At low tide, the beach must be the best in the area. Lots of places to drive to and a decent bus service - 21- if you prefer to leave your car in the secure underground car park. Highlights included Appledore, Bideford, Ilfracombe, Bude (just over the border into Cornwall) and Clovelly - a gem of a village, privately owned, with steep cobbled streets. Not suitable for buggies or those with mobility issues but worth paying to go into as an experience of life in bygone days!
