Anster Neuk is a welcoming holiday home in a quiet location in the picturesque harbour town of Anstruther, in the East Neuk of Fife.
Just a short walk takes you to the bustling working harbour and sandy beach. A great spot for couples and a family looking for a holiday by the seaside.
Stroll along the harbour front and explore the quaint lanes and wynds of this old town, where you will find interesting local shops, bakery, cafés and bars.
The Scottish Fisheries Museum is an interesting place to visit at the harbour front and shows the history of fishing. Take a boat trip to The Isle of May, the world renowned National Nature Reserve, famous for puffins and seal colonies (from April to September) from the harbour. The Fife Coastal Route passes through Anstruther to discover award-winning sandy beaches and coves, picturesque fishing villages.
To the east towards Crail and St Andrews in one direction, and Pittenweem, St Monans and Elie in the other direction, there is a regular bus service for a return home if you get tired. Ideal for a day out and just a short drive along the coast St Andrews has historic buildings, a great selection of restaurants, bar, bistros, cafés, ice cream parlours and interesting shops.
For golfers the city has championship and family friendly courses and the golf museum. For foodies and within walking distance from Anster Neuk there are bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, from an award-winning fish and chip shop to a Michelin starred restaurant. For guests who like to cook you can buy quality local produce; freshly landed sea food, locally grown fruits, vegetables and cheeses.
