Loved every minute of our visit to Angela’s Farmhouse. It is very homely and comfortable and everything you could wish for is provided. What makes the cottage however, is it’s setting. It has incredible views, and is totally out of the way, and whilst I put 8 for amenities, there is nothing for miles, which is absolutely wonderful if you want a totally relaxing break . Thank you, we would love to return.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. Excellent if you need to get away from every day life. It was very relaxing watching the changing views. There were a lot of walks in the area and cycling is popular to. There were no shops or amenities within in immediate area but the town of Kenmare had shops and pubs by the plenty. We enjoyed the peace and quiet

Return visit didn’t disappoint. Perfect for relaxing by sitting in the garden, surrounded by magnificent views, sipping the complementary wine provided by our host in the summer sun. Plenty of room for the dogs to safely explore within the perimeter fence. How better can it get?

The owners of the cottage are very lovely people and clearly they had made an effort, however, the cottage was like staying in your old grannies house, the granny from the side of the family that you don’t often visit because her house is a bit dirty smelly and full of clutter with flannelett bed sheets that make you sweat. The cottage itself is very remote which we didn’t have an issue with in itself, however, you have to go through two gates one of which has cows on the tracks which you have to walk through and with cows come poo, lots of poo, which ends up on your shoes and trousers. Also very importantly the area is extremely un dog friendly. We couldn’t take our dog anywhere and the beaches are not beaches just rock and smelly weed. All in all a disappointing break.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I looked after these guests as best I could and put a lot of effort into decorating the cottage for Christmas as I always do at this time of the year. I gave them coal, wood and Peat all free and just charged for the gas for cooking, electricity and oil heating. I also left a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates on the table. When they arrived they said this is lovely and my husband called to them on Christmas morning and was told by the gentleman that all was well. I also left the house clean as I do for everyone; we get lots of people coming here with dogs and are happy here. There are two gates for the protection of the cottage and go through our farm as has been the case since we opened in 1995. We keep the road as clean as possible but as we get a lot of rain at this time of the year it can get a bit muddy but we do our best. As regards the sheets, I thought they would be warm and cosy for the winter as a lot of people love them and they are good quality. We cannot please everyone as it makes the world go around.
