What we love


A fine example of a holiday home with magnificent views over the estuary and the English Channel. Just a short walk from a clifftop footpath along the coast.

Entrance Hall: Sitting Room: open fire, ChromeCast TV, DVD/CD, bay window with doors to garden. Kitchen/Dining Room: electric double oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, dining table to seat eight, digital radio and music centre for ipod and CD, door to garden. Shower Room: shower cubicle, basin, WC. Washing machine, tumble dryer located off hallway. Stairs to First Floor: Bedroom 1: double bed, French window to balcony area with gate, steps and path to garden. Bedroom 2: twin beds. Bedroom 3: bunk beds. Bathroom: bath with shower over, basin, WC.

Outside: Large garden (approx one acre) lawned and terraced (outdoor furniture and BBQ) Bottom sloping into meadow.
Parking: for 2 cars.
Duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels.
Wifi available.
Oil fired hot water/central heating.
Cot, highchair and two stairgates available.
No smoking.
No pets allowed.

It may be possible to rent this property and the Anchorage Studio (sleeps 4) simultaneously, thus offering accommodation for a maximum of 10 people.
Please note:
There are large gaps in the external balcony railing, therefore young children must be supervised at all times when using the balcony. Parking on lane only, do not park beyond the gate. There are various steps in the garden without a handrail. Extra care to be taken.

A most attractive stone built house in a magical, amazingly peaceful setting- wake to the sound of the sea! Set within its own grounds with mature gardens from where there are superb views of the Salcombe Estuary and the English Channel. It is adjacent to the National Trust property, Overbecks, with easy access to the cliff walks to Bolt Head and beyond (the South West coastal path). A ferry runs from nearby South Sands to the town centre during the summer months. Alternatively, why not go to the beach early and leave before the crowds arrive, discovering other delights in the area on your way home. The property is approached by its own secluded drive and has ample parking, it’s isolated from the town but local supermarkets will deliver. The property has recently been redecorated throughout.
